Breaker caught at Williamstown

Police have arrested a man following a break-in at Williamstown this morning.

About 8.20 am on Tuesday 25 June, Nuriootpa Police were called to a rural property at Williamstown after an intruder was seen breaking into a shed.

Police patrols quickly responded and found a car parked at the property and located the suspect still inside the shed.

Police recovered various power tools and other stolen items.

A 46-year-old man from Lyndoch was arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass, theft, and unlawful possession. He was bailed to appear in the Tanunda Magistrates Court on 20 August.
