Drink-driver caught at Wasleys

A man has lost his licence for a year after he was caught drink-driving north of Gawler in the early hours of this morning.

It will be alleged that about 1.30am today (Tuesday 21 January), police and ambulance crews were called to Currie Road at Wasleys after reports that a Merecedes-Benz sedan had left the road and crashed in a paddock.

The driver, a 46-year-old New Port man was not injured.

He underwent a breath test and returned a positive reading of 0.203.

The man was reported for drink-driving, he was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice and he will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
