A man has lost his licence after allegedly crashing his car whilst drink driving in Wasleys yesterday.
About 1.30am on Tuesday 22 January, police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Currie Road and Mudla Wirra Road at Wasleys after a report of a single car crash.
Police will allege a black Mercedes Benz left the road and collided with a road sign and a small embankment.
The driver, a 46-year-old man from New Port suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. He submitted to a breath test where he returned a positive result of 0.203 – more than four times over the legal limit. He was issued with a 12 month immediate loss of licence.
He was reported for drink driving and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
