20 Apr 2025 6:55am

A man has been arrested after crashing into a parked car earlier this morning.

About 12.20am on Sunday 20 April, police were called to a two-car crash on Barnet Road at Evanston.

Police will allege a white Holden VX was travelling north on Barnet Road when it crossed onto the wrong side of the road and collided into a parked black Honda CRV.

The driver, a 37-year-old man from Wasleys, left the scene of the crash however a member of the public tracked him and advised patrols who were quickly on scene and arrested the man on Warhurst Street.

The man was breath tested however he failed to comply with directions and no result was recorded.

The man was charged with driving without due care, leaving the scene of a crash and failing to comply with a breath analysis.  He was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence and his car was towed from the scene.  He was granted police bail and will appear in court at a later date.
