High-range drink-driver caught at Evanston Park

02 Mar 2025 9:37am

A woman has lost her licence for a year after she was caught drink-driving at Evanston Park.

It will be alleged that about 12.45am on Sunday 2 March, a 36-year-old woman from Evanston South was stopped by police driving on Greening Drive, for a random driver test.

She returned a positive reading of 0.240.

The driver was reported for drink-driving, she was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice and had her vehicle impounded for 28 days. She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

Remember that police can conduct random driver testing for drugs and alcohol 24 hours a day, so if you’re under the influence and need to get home, use a taxi or rideshare service or public transport.
