A man has been arrested after breaking into a building site at Tanunda.

It will be alleged that about 2am on Monday 8 July, police were patrolling the Tanunda township when they saw a bicycle parked out the front of a building site on Murray Street.

When police stopped to investigate, they saw a man who had broken into the site and was stealing power tools.

A 35-year-old Tanunda man was charged with serious criminal trespass, breach of bail and theft.

He was refused bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.
