Fatal crash at Truro

About 11.45am on Friday 19 July, emergency services were called to a report of a vehicle rollover on Truro Road, between Hawker Hill Road and St Kitts West Road, at Truro.

The ute burst into flames, and, despite the efforts of witnesses and emergency services, the driver could not be saved.

Sadly, a 38-year-old man from the Riverland, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.

Major Crash investigators attended and examined the scene.

The road has reopened to all traffic.

The man’s death is the 48th life lost on South Australian roads so far this year, and police are pleading with drivers to take extra care.
