Tools recovered after car break in

Two people will face court after allegedly trying to pawn stolen goods at a Gawler business yesterday.

Sometime between Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 March a car parked outside a home in Gawler East was broken in to and a large number of tools, welding equipment, lap top and accessories were stolen.

On Friday 7 March police were called by a Gawler business wanting to report two people attempting to pawn items suspected of having been unlawfully obtained.

Following an investigation, about 10pm last night (Friday 7 March), police attended and searched a Gawler East address where they located thousands of dollars’ worth of tools and other suspected stolen items.

A 37-year-old man from the address was arrested and charged with unlawful possession. He was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 16 April.

A 24-year-old woman from the address was reported and will be summoned to appear in court at a later date.
