A drink driving L plater was caught in the CBD this morning.

Police stopped the Holden on North Terrace to speak to the driver, an 18-year-old Welland woman, checks revealed she was a learner driver, however she was not displaying any L plates on the car and did not have a full licenced driver in the car with her, to make matters worse she was given a breath tested allegedly returning a positive reading of 0.121.

She was reported for no right turn, drink driving, no L plates, and contravene a condition of her learner permit. She lost her licence on the spot and her car was impounded for 28 days. She will be summonsed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
