Arrest at Paradise

Just after 7pm on Thursday 20 March, a man entered a parked car at Newton Shopping Centre and stole a handbag containing a pair of AirPods and other personal belongings.

Luckily the victim was able to track the AirPods and call police to advise them of the GPS showing at Paradise Interchange.

Police quickly attended at the Paradise interchange where the victim saw the suspect getting on a bus. When Police approached the man, he ran off and was detained a short distance away.

The property was recovered and returned to the victim.

A 45-year-old man from Unley was arrested and charged with theft and illegal interference of a motor vehicle. He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
