Bus driver assaulted

A woman will face Court today after allegedly attacking a bus driver in North Adelaide overnight.

About 11.20pm Thursday 6 February police were called to King William Road, near Kermode Street, after reports a woman had stabbed a bus driver following an altercation on board a bus.

When police arrived they spoke to the victim, a 37-year-old man. He was treated at the scene for minor injuries to his hand.

The suspect had fled the scene prior to police arrival. Following an area search patrols located and arrested a 23-year-old Morphett Vale woman near North Terrace. In her possession police allegedly located a pair of scissors.

She has been charged with assault cause harm and breach of bail. She did not apply for bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
