Four arrested after Northfield break-in

Four teenagers have been arrested after a break-in at Northfield.

It will be alleged that about 3am today (Saturday 21 December), a man woke up to the sounds of people rummaging through his house in York Street.

The victim saw a group of people running towards Charles Street.

No one was injured, but some personal items were stolen from the property including an iPad, wallet and aftershave. The items were found close to the house.

Extra patrols and Police Dog Bandit were called to the area, with the suspects located nearby in a backyard in Barnes Avenue.

An 18-year-old man from Andrews Farm, a 17-year-old boy from Elizabeth Downs, a 16-year-old boy from Blakeview and a 15-year-old boy from Elizabeth Downs were charged with numerous offences including aggravated serious criminal trespass and theft.

All four suspects were bailed to appear in court at a later date.
