Gender reveal goes up in smoke

Four people will appear in court following a gender reveal burnout in Ingle Farm this afternoon.

About 1.15pm on Sunday 5 January, police will allege a group of people congregated on Belalie Road at Ingle Farm as a blue Holden Commodore conducted a burnout as part of as part of a gender reveal celebration.

Police attended and noticed a 210m long burnout mark and tracked the vehicle to a nearby Ingle Farm address.

Following an investigation, the Commodore sedan was located in a garage.  The car was subsequently inspected and defected.

Police questioned the group who failed to answer questions and three people were subsequently reported for this offence, a 20-year-old man from Blakeview, a 20-year-old man from Ingle Farm and a 38-year-old woman from Glynde.

The driver, a 22-year-old man from Gilles Plains, presented himself and he was reported for misuse of a motor vehicle.

The group will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
