19 Jul 2024 9:04pm

A woman has recorded an extremely high breath test reading after crashing into parked cars in a city car park.

It will be alleged that just after 7.20pm today (Friday 19 July), police were called to a car park in Topham Mall off Waymouth Street after reports that a silver Mercedes-Benz sedan had collided with four parked cars, causing extensive damage to some of the vehicles.

The driver of the car, a 42-year-old woman from Seacliff Park underwent a breath test and recorded a positive reading of 0.257.

She was reported for drink-driving and was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice.

She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
