Police are seeking witnesses and mobile phone footage of an incident at Modbury earlier this month.
It will be alleged that just after 4pm on Saturday 16 November, police and ambulance crews were called to the Tea Tree Plaza bus interchange after reports of a man assaulting women and children.
A teenage boy suffered a broken arm during the incident.
Victims were treated at the scene by paramedics.
The suspect, a 25-year-old man from Port Wakefield was arrested at the scene and then taken to hospital for a medical assessment.
He is expected to be charged with multiple counts of assault.
It is believed that numerous witnesses filmed the incident on their mobile phones.
