Man arrested for breaking into a car in Adelaide

Police have arrested a man for allegedly breaking into a car on Currie Street.

Just after 8pm last night (Sunday 23 March), police were called to a carpark on Currie Street after a victim reported locating a man breaking into their car.

Police attended and found the victim had detained the man until police arrived and the 29-year-old from Kaltjiti was arrested.

Police search the man locating the victim’s wallet, drug paraphernalia, multiple tools including scissors, box cutters, wrench and screwdriver.

He was charged with illegal interference, theft, possess an article to commit an offence, unlawful possession and possess equipment to use with a controlled drug.

The man was bailed and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on the 21 May.
