Man hospitalised after assault at Parkside

19 Mar 2025 9:07am

A man has been arrested for an assault in Parkside last night.

Just before 9.30pm last night (Tuesday 18 March), police responded to reports of an assault at Robsart Street. Upon arrival, police and ambulance services spoke to a man at the address who had minor lacerations to his head and face. The man was assessed at the scene before being taken to hospital for treatment.

A short time later, police received information from a woman who claimed she had been the victim of an assault at the same address earlier in the evening. Police conducted investigations and reviewed CCTV and will allege the man who had been taken to hospital had earlier in the evening assaulted a 23-year-old woman from Edwardstown at the address. The victim sustained minor scratches and didn’t receive medical treatment.

As a result of the investigation, the 30-year-old Parkside man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Police believe the injuries the man received were as a result of the earlier fight at the address with the victim. The man is expected to be bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 6 May.

Both parties were known to each other, and this is not a random incident.
