Operation Measure arrests

Eastern District police have made two arrests for significant thefts of alcohol from retail outlets.

On Sunday 30 June, Eastern Operation Measure crews attended a Rose Park alcohol store after reports of a theft.

Police searched the area and located a woman in possession of the stolen alcohol nearby.

Checks revealed the woman, a 33-year-old from Adelaide, was wanted in relation to other theft matters and she was charged with an additional 18 counts of theft and 15 breach of bail offences.

She will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 11 July.

About 11.30am on Friday 5 July, following an investigation Eastern District police teams attended an Adelaide address acting on reports of stolen alcohol at the home.

Police searched the home locating 50 bottles of alcohol they will allege were stolen in during a number of recent bottle shop thefts in the eastern suburbs.

Police also located prescription medication, a small amount of drugs and drug paraphernalia inside.

A 68-year-old man from the address was arrested for theft and receiving and has been bailed to appear in court at a later date.
