Four men have been arrested after allegedly breaking into a bottle shop and stealing alcohol in the CBD earlier this morning.
About 1.20am on Wednesday 15 January, police security camera operators saw four men break into a bottle shop on Bank Street in Adelaide, by smashing the glass door.
Security notified police and watched on camera as the suspects left the store with numerous bottles and cans of alcohol. They were tracked by CCTV as they made their way to the footbridge and were last seen heading north-east towards Victoria Drive.
Patrols were quickly on scene and located one suspect near Jolleys Boathouse and he was swiftly arrested. PD Chaos was called to assist with the search and she tracked a scent heading north on King William Road. Shortly later she located two suspects hiding in a storm drain under a nearby footbridge. Patrols searched the area and located a fourth suspect hiding in bushes near the Red Gum Park pavilion.
The four arrested men included two 23-year-olds and a 26-year-old all from Modbury North and a 24-year-old from Port Adelaide. They were charged with serious criminal trespass and theft. The men were granted police bail to appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court on 9 April.
