Police seeking owner for possible stolen bike

21 Jun 2024 8:53am

A teenager arrested earlier this year was riding a mountain bike at the time of his arrest.

Just after 4am on Saturday 6 April, patrols attended Godfrey Terrace at Leabrook after reports of people behaving suspiciously in the area.

Police were quickly on scene and located a teenager nearby, who was in possession of a black coloured Lapierre 527 mountain bike, with distinctive orange and yellow stripes on its frame.

Police arrested the 18-year-old man and charged him with possessing an article to commit an offence.

Officers suspect the mountain bike to be stolen and would like to identify the rightful owner.

Anyone who recognises the bike is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.  You can anonymously provide information to Crime Stoppers online at https://crimestopperssa.com.au or free call 1800 333 000.
