Robbery in the CBD

Police are investigating a robbery in the CBD this afternoon.

Just after 12.00 pm, Sunday 27 April, four youths entered a convenience store on Hindley Street armed with a knife, threatened the staff member and demanded cash.

One of the group assaulted the worker, jumped the counter and attempted to steal cash.

The group then ran from the scene empty handed, last seen heading west on Hindley Street.

Thankfully the staff member was not seriously injured.

Patrols searched the area however the suspects could not be located.

The suspects are described as Caucasian, male, one with dark curly hair wearing a red hoody and three males wearing dark hoodies.
