Robbery in the CBD

A man has been arrested in the city after a robbery.

Just before 7pm, on Thursday 27 March police were called to a supermarket in Rundle Mall after reports a man had entered the store and stole items.

The store assistant attempted to stop the man when he spat in the face of a worker and produced and threatened them with a pair of scissors and taser.

Thankfully, the staff member was not injured.

The man was last seen running east on Rundle Street.

Police were quickly in attendance and arrested a 30-year-old-man from Blair Athol.

He has been charged with numerous offences including robbery, unlawful possession, prohibited act with human biological material, possess controlled drug and possess prohibited weapon.


He has been refused bail and appear will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today Friday 28 March.
