Shop theft arrests

Three teens were arrested after stealing clothes from Rundle Mall today.

About 11am this morning (Tuesday 14 January), police were called to a sports store in the Mall after reports that a group of youths had entered the store and stolen several hundred dollars’ worth of clothing items.

The group allegedly changed into the cloths and attempted to leave the city via the Adelaide Railway Station.

Foot patrols spotted the youths who attempted to flee, however police were too fast, quickly placing the teens under arrest.

The three youths; 13-year-old West Croydon boy, 13-year-old Windsor Gardens boy and 15-year-old Windsor Gardens girl, have been charged with theft, the two boys further charged with breach of bail.

Two were bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on 6 March. While the West Croydon boy was refused bail to appear in the AYC tomorrow (Wednesday 15 January).
