13 Jun 2024 10:54am

A woman has been arrested after stealing shoes from a store in the city.

It will be alleged that about 2.30pm on Wednesday 12 June, police were called to a shoe store in Rundle Mall after reports that a woman had thrown a drink at a staff member before fleeing the store with two pairs of shoes.

The female staff member was not injured.

Police examined CCTV footage and identified the suspect, who was also wanted for another theft from a North Adelaide liquor store on Monday 10 June.

About 5.40pm, officers went to the suspect’s home in Glandore and arrested the 26-year-old woman, locating the stolen shoes and other items suspected of being stolen.

The woman was charged with theft and assault, and was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 4 September.
