Appeal for witnesses over hit-run crash at Old Reynella

Police are investigating a hit-run crash in the southern suburbs which resulted in a woman being taken to hospital.

Just after 10.30pm on Friday 26 July, police were called to the intersection of Main South Road and the Southern Expressway after reports that a small black hatchback side-swiped a blue MG sedan as they were travelling south on Main South Road.

Both cars stopped immediately after the crash and the female drivers got out of the cars.

The driver of the black sedan started abusing the other driver before driving off, failing to exchange details with her.

The driver of the MG, a 19-year-old Aldinga Beach woman was taken to hospital for treatment.

The suspect is described as being of African appearance with hair in braids with highlighted colours. She was wearing a black shirt with red writing on it.
