Man arrested over stalking offences

19 Aug 2024 3:53pm

A man has been arrested after an investigation into stalking offences.

Police will allege that one of the offences occurred at the Marion Shopping Centre, where the suspect gave a woman a letter offering her a fake scholarship with a government agency.

The suspect had allegedly also harassed the woman in her workplace several times during the past few weeks.

On Friday 16 August, detectives from Southern District CIB arrested a 51-year-old man of no fixed place of abode and charged him with stalking and dishonestly dealing with documents.

He was refused bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today (Monday 19 August).

Investigations are continuing, and police would like to hear from anyone who may have been a victim of similar offending.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or report the matter at their local police station.
