Suspicious behaviour reports in southern suburbs

Southern District Police are investigating three incidents of concerning behaviour in the southern suburbs this week.

On Wednesday 21 August and Thursday 22 August, a girl reported being followed along Morton Road, Christies Downs by an unknown man. He was described as scruffy looking wearing a red top and green pants. On these occasions, the man did not approach the girl but she was frightened by his behaviour.

In a separate incident on Thursday 22 August, a girl was sitting at the Noarlunga bus interchange when she was approached by an unknown man. He spoke to her briefly before indecently assaulting her.

The man is described as being aged in his late 50’s to 60 years, 188cm tall with grey hair, large nose, scruffy beard and a nose piercing.  He was wearing a grey polo shirt and black tracksuit pants.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time that may have seen someone fitting those descriptions to contact Crime Stoppers at www.crimestopperssa.com.au/ or on 1800 333 000. You can remain anonymous.

Police urge members of the public to be aware of their surroundings and personal safety, and to report suspicious behaviour to police immediately on 131 444.
