Stolen car torched in Modbury

Just after 8.00 pm, Thursday 27 June police and MFS crews were called to a carpark on Reservoir Road after reports of a loud explosion and a vehicle engulfed in flames.

MFS crews were able to extinguish the fire when they arrived however the vehicle was completely destroyed.

Checks revealed the white Ford station wagon had been stolen from a home in Glenelg in December 2022.

Crime scene investigators and Detectives attended and examined the scene.
