Suspicious fire in Maylands

Police are investigating following a suspicious fire in the eastern suburbs this afternoon.
Just before 3pm today (Wednesday 26 March), police and MFS were called to Phillis Street, Maylands after reports of a house fire.
MFS crews quickly extinguished the blaze however the fire caused damage to the house.
Fortunately, there were no reports of any serious injuries.
Police believe the fire to be suspicious and ask anyone with information or may have CCTV to assist with the investigation to please call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
