Teen breaker to face court

A teen has been arrested after an investigation into a number of break ins this week.

About 12.20am Thursday 5 December a male suspect was seen on CCTV footage gaining entry to a car parked in the driveway of a home on Travers Drive, Beaumont. The car was rummaged through, but nothing was stolen.

Later, about 2.10am four suspects were seen on CCTV enter the rear yard of a home on Fairford Street. They were disturbed by a dog and left the property through the front gate.

A short time later police were called to another home on Fairford Street after residents were awoken by a hooded figure in their home. The suspect ran from the home empty handed when disturbed by the occupants.

Following an investigation police, about 8.30pm, police attended an address in Edwardstown where they arrested a 16-year-old Greenacres boy.

The teen has been charged with numerous serious criminal trespass and illegal interference offences, and breach of bail. He did not apply for bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court today.
