Two teenagers have been arrested after climbing a crane in the CBD.

It will be alleged that about 8.40pm on Friday 6 December, police were called to a construction site on Penaluna Place near Grote Street, after witnesses reported seeing people climbing a crane, about 30 stories off the ground.

Patrols saw the pair on the site and negotiated with them to come down.

The two 17-year-old boys, one from Prospect and the other from Bugle Ranges were arrested and charged with being unlawfully on premises.

They were both bailed to appear in court at a later date.
