Witnesses sought for Hackney assault

The reported assault allegedly occurred on the evening of Monday 17 March in parklands near Hackney.

Police believe that the suspect was driving a white vehicle in the northeastern suburbs prior to the assault occurring and then drove into the CBD.

The suspect is described as being of Indian appearance and aged 30-40 years.

Investigators are wanting to hear from anyone who may have recently been offered a lift by a man in a late model white vehicle while in the north-eastern suburbs.
