Woman arrested after North Terrace assault

Police and paramedics were called to North Terrace, Adelaide, near Kintore Avenue, just after 1am on Friday 3 January by reports of an assault.

A 26-year-old man sustained a laceration to his leg and was taken to hospital by ambulance.  His injury is serious but not life-threatening.

The suspect, a 27-year-old woman from the State's Far North, was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault cause harm.  She was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.

The people involved in this incident are known to each other.

Investigations are continuing.
