A woman has been charged with ten counts of theft following investigations by Operation Measure officers.
On Thursday 16 of January, police from Eastern Operation Measure attended a Windsor Gardens home and arrested a woman following multiple thefts involving elderly and vulnerable victims.
Victims reported having their handbags and purses stolen from shopping trolleys.
The incidents have occurred at supermarkets across the metropolitan area in recent months.
At this time, the stolen property has not been recovered.
A 56-year-old woman from Windsor Gardens arrested and charged with eight counts of aggravated theft and two counts of theft. She was refused police bail and was remanded to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court again on 24 February.
Police remind the public to be vigilant and secure all valuables while shopping. Ensure items like handbags and purses are secured in a place people cannot reach and do not leave these items unattended in shopping trolleys.
