Drink driver caught in Ceduna

11 Apr 2025 7:06am

A man has been arrested for driving offences in Ceduna earlier this morning.

About 12.45am on Friday 11 April, police stopped a silver Ford Fairmont for a mobile driver test on Kuhlmann Street at Ceduna.

The driver, a 54-year-old man from Western Australia, submitted to a breath test where he provided a positive result of 0.219 – more than four times over the legal limit.

Checks revealed the man was disqualified from driving and the Ford had previously been defected.  He was arrested and charged with drink driving, driving whilst being disqualified and driving a car contrary to defect.  He was refused police bail and will appear in Ceduna Magistrates Court today (Friday 11 April).
