Drink-driver caught in Thevenard

A man has lost his licence after he was caught drink-driving in Thevenard.

It will be alleged that about 12.23am on Sunday 27 April, police stopped a white Isuzu ute on Thevenard Road. The driver, a 20-year-old Ceduna man returned a positive reading of 0.123.

Further checks on the driver showed that he was the holder of a provisional licence and was driving after curfew hours and without any P plates attached.

The driver was reported for drink-driving, breach of P conditions and no P plates attached. He was issued a six-month immediate loss of licence notice and his vehicle was impounded for 28 days.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
