Drink driver in Streaky Bay

Just before 2am, Wednesday 1 January 2025, police stopped a Ford Van on Wells Street at Streaky Bay and submitted the driver to a breath test.

The 20-year-old driver from Mclaren Vale returned a positive result of 0.142, nearly three times the legal limit.

Further checks revealed the driver held a provisional licence.

He was issued a six month instant loss of licence and will be summonsed to appear in the Magistrates Court at a later date.
