Four youths arrested in Port Lincoln

Four youths have been arrested after trying to break into cars at Port Lincoln.

It will be alleged that about 10.38pm on Sunday 15 September, four youths were seen on CCTV footage trying to break into vehicles in York Street.

Police attended and searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

At 12.28am on Monday 16 September, police received a call from a member of the public who stated they had seen four male youths acting suspiciously in King Street.

Police checked CCTV and found that the boys matched the description of those in the footage. Police searched the youths and located a large quantity of coins and two knives suspected of being stolen. One of the youths was in possession of a small amount of cannabis.

A 15-year-old boy, two 13-year-old boys and a 12-year-old boy all of Port Lincoln were charged with numerous offences including illegal interference and unlawful possession. They will appear in the Port Lincoln Youth Court on 14 October.
