Man arrested after petrol drive-offs

A man has been arrested after being wanted over petrol drive-offs.

It will be alleged that about 9.20am on Saturday 14 September, police were notified of a Toyota Hilux with Victorian registration travelling at high speed on the Eyre Highway at Lake Gilles.

The driver had committed petrol drive-offs in Ceduna and throughout the surrounding area.

The description of the car and driver were relayed to other patrols, and the car was located at Penong about 8pm on Point Sinclair Road.

The driver, a 34-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with making off without payment. He was refused bail and will appear in the Ceduna Magistrates Court today (Monday 16 September).
