A teen girl arrested after threatening staff at a local bottle shop.
Just before 10am this morning (Friday 13), police were patrolling Tennant Street in Port Lincoln, when they observed a teenage girl run from a local bottle shop with bottles of alcohol in her hands. Police noticed staff from the shop chasing behind, and immediately attempted to stop the girl. A short foot chase, and the 16-year-old girl from Port Lincoln was arrested.
Police conducting the investigation further identified that the girl had allegedly threatened staff with one of the bottles when leaving the store.
The girl has been charged with theft and aggravated assault. She was refused bail and appeared in the Port Lincoln Youth Court today, where she was remanded in custody until 13 January.
