Streaky Bay drink driver

16 Sep 2024 9:12am

A man will appear in court after he was caught drink driving over the weekend.

Just after 8pm on Saturday 14 September, Police stopped a white Toyota Hilux traveling east on Montgomerie Terrace at Streaky Bay for a random driver test.

The driver, a 32-year-old local man, submitted to a breath test where he returned a positive result of 0.117 - more than double the legal limit.

He was reported for drink driver, he was issued a six-month immediate loss of licence and his car was impounded for 28 days.  He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
