Youths arrested following stolen car

Four youths have been arrested after a car was stolen from a Port Augusta address last week.

About 11.30pm on Friday 17 January, Whyalla police were called to Barry Street at Port Augusta after reports of youths in a white Holden Commodore behaving suspiciously.  Checks on the car revealed it had been stolen from a nearby address the previous night.

Following an investigation, about 8pm on Saturday 18 January, Police attended a Port Lincoln address where they located the stolen vehicle.  Four youths at the address attempted to run from patrols however they were swiftly arrested.

A 14-year-old boy from Davenport was charged with illegal use.  A 16-year-old from Whyalla Stuart was charged with four counts of breach of bail.  A 16-year-old from Port Lincoln was charged with being unlawfully on premises. A 14-year-old boy from Port Lincoln was charged with breach of bail.
