Affray arrests at Port Augusta

Police have arrested six people following an affray at Port Augusta last night.

Just after 8.30pm on Thursday 14 November, police were called to a fast-food restaurant on Victoria Parade after reports of a disturbance at the entrance and the parking lot.

As a result of investigations, police were able to identify a number of people involved and subsequently arrested a 36-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, and four youths aged 13 to 16.

The 31-year-old woman was further charged with driving in a manner dangerous, acts to endanger life in a motor vehicle and drive without due care. Her car has been impounded, and she has received a 12-month loss of licence.

Investigations are continuing with further arrests expected.

The man and woman were bailed to appear in the Port Augusta Magistrates Court on 6 January and the youths bailed to appear in the Port Augusta Youth Court on 29 January.
