A drink driver recorded more than five times the legal limit at Stirling North yesterday.

About 6.45pm on Saturday 17 August, police received a report of an intoxicated driver at the weighbridge at Stirling North.

Police attended and located the man with his vehicle which was stuck on a culvert at the weighbridge.

The 58-year-old man from the Northern Territory recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.256 - more than five times the legal limit.

He was arrested and charged with drink driving and driving unlicensed and without registration plates.

His vehicle was impounded and towed from the scene.
