Drug seizures and arrests in the Far North

Far North Police have arrested eight people during an operation targeting the sale and supply of illicit drugs.

Since the commencement of the operation in December 2024, the following results have been achieved to date -

  • Eight people have been arrested for trafficking in a controlled drug
  • Five premises have been searched.
  • Over 150 charges of trafficking in a controlled drug have been laid. ​
  • Seven seizures, capturing over 200 exhibits including in excess of 1.3kg of Methamphetamine.

  • In excess of $10,000.00 seized
  • One high-end vehicle seized for forfeiture.
  • Stolen property recovered, including a valuable guitar and motorcycle stolen during break-in’s to local properties.

The arrested people are -

A 32-year-old man from Whyalla.

Two men aged 68 and 57-years and two women aged 40 and 41-years from Whyalla Norrie.

A 40-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman from Port Augusta West.

A 30-year-old man from Port Augusta.
