Speeding driver at Arcoona

A driver has been fined after he was detected speeding on Stuart Highway at Arcoona today.
Roxy Downs police were conducting speed detection duties on the Highway at 2pm on Sunday 27 April, detecting a Kia Station Wagon travelling at 146 km/h in the 110 km/h zone.
Police stopped the vehicle and issued the driver, a 31-year-old St Mary’s man, with an $1,786.00 ‘on the spot fine’ and a loss of 7 demit points.
