Three arrested over stolen tools at Port Augusta

Three people have been charged in connection to stolen power tools at Port Augusta.

A local hardware store at Woodcock Street, Port Augusta, reported two separate break-ins in the early hours of Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 November.

Seven boxes containing Makita power tools were stolen.

Following investigations, on 29 November, Port Augusta Police attended a Port Augusta address with a search warrant and allegedly located the stolen power tools.

Subsequently, two men, aged 51 and 24, were arrested and charged with two counts of serious criminal trespass and two counts of theft.

A 30-year-old woman was also arrested and charged with theft by receiving and unlawful possession.

They were all refused police bail and appeared in the Port Augusta Magistrates Court this week, where they were remanded in custody to reappear on 21 January.
