Operation Meld officers are conducting an on-going investigation into an aggravated break-in and assault incident that occurred in Eyre last month.

On Thursday 26 September, police were called to a home on Edward John Parade after reports three people armed with machetes had forced their way inside and assaulted a 16-year-old occupant of the home.  The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Operation Meld and Northern District CIB Detectives have conducted extensive CCTV enquires within the area.

About 2.20am on Thursday 26 September, CCTV captured a blue sedan driving past the premises numerous times.  On the third drive past, the vehicle is seen without lights on.

About five minutes later three suspects, dressed all in black are seen walking towards the property.  A short time later the three people are seen running from the home in an easterly direction.

Police are asking for assistance from the public to help identify the blue sedan (pictured) seen in the area at the time.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of the blue sedan or has information that may assist with the investigation they are asked to contact Crime Stoppers. You can anonymously provide information to Crime Stoppers online at https://crimestopperssa.com.au or free call 1800 333 000.
