Suspicious building fire in North Adelaide

Just after 7am, Emergency Services were called to O’Connell Street after numerous reports of smoke and flames coming from the building.

When MFS and Police arrived on scene the building was well-engulfed in flames and fire crews began battling the blaze.

O’Connell Street, between Archer Street and Gover street was closed to all traffic however has since re-opened. Emergency services are remaining at the scene.

There is significant damage to the building. Fire Cause Investigators and Eastern District Detectives are at the scene to determine the cause of the fire however police are treating this fire as suspicious.
