Driver arrested after Keswick crash

Just before 11am on Thursday 20 June emergency services were called to the intersection of Richmond Road and South Road, Keswick after a black Audi crashed into a tow truck and a Hyundai hatchback.

Witnesses reported the driver of the Audi got out of the car and ran east along Richmond Road. Checks on the vehicle revealed it was displaying stolen plates.

The driver of the tow truck, a 60-year-old Ascot Park man, was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injures.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 59-year-old Fulham Gardens woman, was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Police quickly tracked down the alleged driver of the Audi, a 28-year-old Noarlunga Downs man, on Farnham Road and arrested him.  He was charged with a number of serious offences including cause harm by dangerous driving and fail to stop and render assistance at a crash.  Investigations are continuing.
