Update: Two dead after incident at Beachport

About 11.30am Monday 6 January police and SAAS were called to a beach near Point Connor just south of Beachport after reports that a boat had capsized and three people were unresponsive on shore.

A 59-year-old woman was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Sadly, two men aged 82 and 69 were pronounced deceased at the scene.

All three people are from Millicent.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing with the assistance of the Water Operations Unit.

There are no suspicious circumstances.

Police will be preparing a report for the Coroner.
